The Wright Family moved to Millbrook in 1971. The buildings needed extensive renovation and required financing, so Mr & Mrs Wright started growing vegetables to sell both to the trade and the public. Through the following three decades, the business has evolved and grown to cover the whole seven acre site.

The family continue to run the Garden Centre, with daughter Sarah in charge of  Summer basket/bedding plants, son Will as carpenter/builder/maintenance and son-in-law Ian managing the accounts. Granddaughter Alice and grandson George like to help in the shop, although at nine and seven it is not always as intended.

Winter 2009/10 turned out to be rather white. The top glasshouse is just visible with a heavy covering of snow.

collapse topsideThe snow caused a collapse of epic proportions!

collapse minus glassThe frame decided to slide down the hill so the glass had to be removed before surgery.
